机场正在筹备建设，位于海南岛西北部，临高县南部加来镇，区位交通优势明显，东临澄迈县，西南接儋州市，现有县道309与G225连接贯通加来地区，至海南环岛高速18公里（现状国道），至西环铁路8公里，至海口市区80公里，至儋州市区35公里，至金牌港35公里。依托西部“空港”，谋划发展航空维修、自贸物流、休闲旅游等产业，带动周边经济发展。
The airport is under preparation for construction. It is located in the northwest of Hainan Island and in the south town of Jalai, Lingao County. The location has obvious transportation advantages for it is adjacent to Chengmai County in the east and Danzhou City in the southwest. The existing county road 309 and G225 connect the Calais area, 18 kilometers away from the Hainan Island Ring Expressway (current state road), 8 kilometers to the West Ring Railway, 80 kilometers to the urban area of Haikou, 35 kilometers to the urban area of Danzhou, and 35 kilometers to Jinpai Port. Relying on the "air-port" in the west, it plans to develop aviation maintenance, free trade logistics, leisure tourism and other industries to drive the economic development of surrounding areas.
